At thursday 7 may 2026 the Energy Committee of the DAA invites you to an event featuring Jilles van den Beukel as keynote speaker, followed by a panel discussion with leading experts from the energy sector. The keynote will focus on the energy transition and its geopolitical dimensions, with particular attention to European energy security.

Jilles has over 26 years of experience at Shell and NAM, and has become a wellknown commentator on geopolitical developments and the energy transition, frequently appearing in the media. He is widely recognised for his indepth knowledge of European energy markets and security of supply.
16:30 Panel discussion

The panel will discuss 'The Energy Transition & (Un)Certainty – Contractual Risks, Unforeseen Circumstances, and Dispute Resolution in the Energy Sector'

Ivelina Boneva, Legal Counsel at Gasunie Transport Services, with a background in legal and regulatory affairs in the gas sector.

Wybe Bruinsma, Head of Legal (The Netherlands) at TAQA, with broad responsibility for legal matters relating to upstream oil & gas, gas storage and offshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects in the Netherlands.

Fabien Roques, Executive Vice President at Compass Lexecon (Paris / Brussels) and Head of its EMEA Energy Practice. Fabien is a leading expert in energy economics.
